Rules for Charades
Charades is a team-based party game where players act out words or phrases—such as movies, books, or songs—using only silent gestures within a set time limit (usually 60-90 seconds).
The goal is to get your team to guess the phrase before time runs out to earn points.
Key Rules and Setup
- Split players into two equal teams
- Players write down phrases (movies, books, etc.) on slips of paper and put them in a bowl (don't worry, there are some presets)
- One player from a team draws a slip and acts it out without talking or making sounds (from easy or hard bowl)
- The team tries to guess the phrase within the time limit (don't make any sound)
- The team with the most points, at the end of the game, wins
